It makes use of the difference in car tax payable in the European Union between new and used cars.

A comparison we have made suggests that for the the smallest cars, especially out of season, normal pre booked car hire is cheaper. For rental of more expensive models for longer periods, especially in peak summer months, a short term lease is cheaper

To qualify, the renter must be a person who can claim residence outside the European Union and who is 18 years of age or older and has had a valid drivers license for at least one year. No maximum age limit applies.

These conditions often make leasing attractive to persons over 70 or under 25 where special restrictions of surcharges are applied by car renting companies. 

Tourists generally qualify for up to 175 days and are not allowed to work. Students and educators qualify for up to 360 days, as do employees undertaking a limited engagement (i.e. less that 1 year) in Europe

The contract is a tax free short term (17 day minimum charge) auto lease for a new car. 

We would suggest you to place your order at least thirty days before the planned pick-up date. However, it may possible to arrange more urgent pick ups ($20 rush charge will apply). 

A US$200 deposit is required in order to place your reservation. The remaining balance is  due 30 days prior to pick up date. If your pick up date is in less than 30 days, full  amount of your lease is required. All payments are made direct to Renault USA and not to us. 

Renault's Eurodrive program lets you pick up and drop off cars in nine countries, and it can be cheaper than renting. The program includes twenty four hour roadside assistance, unlimited mileage, and comprehensive insurance. The countries in which the insurance is valid is subject to change. At the time of writing it includes Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Morocco, Netherlands (Holland), Norway, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, St. Marino, Sweden, Switzerland, Tunisia, Turkey, and The Vatican. 

There are 33 pick-up and drop off points throughout Europe.  No charge is made for drop off at a different place to pick up.  For certain places (including Lisbon and Porto airports) an additional charge is made.
