Casa da Cristina is located
in the grounds of Casa d'Obidos. It is one of 3 self catering cottages
which have been beautifully converted from the outbuildings of this Manor
House.
The house is approximately 1 kilometre from the enchanting hill town of Obidos and has views of the Castle, which dates back to 1148, rising on the skyline. Obidos is a very famous and
beautiful 14th Century walled town with pretty whitewashed houses. On the
outskirks is a saltwater lagoon which is popular with sailors and fishermen.
A short walk through the
agricultural land and vineyards brings you to a large Church and a number
of good, inexpensive restaurants.
Casa Cristina is located on the first floor and the entrance door leads into a small hall with the stairs leading up to the living room. This living room has an exposed
wooden ceiling and wooden floors and is very comfortable and tastefully
furnished.
A sofa and easy chairs face the Satellite television and, on one wall there is a writing desk. At the top of the stairs
there is a gate with a catch to prevent danger to young children.
The three bedrooms all have private bathrooms with a shower unit over the bath. Two of the rooms have double beds and, the third room has two single beds. Throughout the apartment the artistic flair of the owners is reflected in the tasteful decor. Further details are on the pages of Casa d'Obidos, the two bedroom Casa Matilde and the studio apartment Casa Leonor. Obidos also has an excellent golf course, Praia D'el Rey, click here for details. |
