Our
site does not usually have accommodation in towns. However our listing
for this region does include accommodation in a small palace which is part
of the castle complex overlooking Lisbon.
The
area surrounding the capital has manor houses in their vineyards where
the former workers cottages have been converted for tourism.
The
western coast has long sandy Atlantic beaches attracting the surfers while
the south facing beaches of the Tagus estuary have quiet waters.
Sintra
is the town where the court used to move in former tines and has many palaces.
Cascais is also interesting and Estoril has the largest casino in Europe.
The
cottages listed here share the swimming pool and other facilities with
other guests. One village cottage, a short drive from the beach. does not
have a pool
