This is one of the most widely available in Portugal. Since 1886 it has been valued for its purity and its unique mineral properties.

In 1992 the hotel was completely refurbished to its original splendour.

The restoration and the updating to give modern amenities such as air conditioning, en-suite bathrooms in every room, etc., took longer than it did to build the palace back in 1910.

Nowadays, the Vidago Palace hotel is visited by many who come for the nearby thermal baths, to relax or to play golf on the golf course in the park

The Vidago Palace has 83 rooms, including is suites, all with private bathroom and a hair dryer.

The rooms have a television, radio, direct dial telephone, mini bar, etc..

There is a restaurant, bar, elevator, rooms for disabled persons, air conditioning, squash court, table tennis and billiard room and also ample free parking.

The restaurant specialises in a wide variety of local dishes while the Pool bar also serves light lunches and snacks.

The hotel is in 40 hectares of mature parkland.

The hotel has an outdoor swimming pool, a 9 hole golf course, four tennis courts, a children's playground and mountain bikes. Carriage rides, wine tasting tours and dancing lessons available on request at reception

The Hotel Vidago Palace also has conference facilities including an auditorium for up to 264 people and seven meeting rooms all with audio-visual equipment.

Whilst staying at the hotel, the opportunity should be taken to visit the Peneda Geres National Park which is about 50 kilometers away.

In the surrounding villages we can still see remnants of a way of life that has remained unchanged for centuries. However, with the advance of roads and electricity it will not remain so for much longer.
