Casa d'Obidos is located 1 kilometre away from the beautiful walled, hilltop town of Obidos which has a Castle, dating back to the 12th Century, and a lagoon.

This tastefully furnished, comfortable cottage has a private garden which is enclosed making it suitable for young children.

It also has shady arbours to sit and relax and, a separate barbecue area.

The cottage has a spacious entrance hall and a sitting room featuring a traditional copper charcoal heater in polished copper.

There is a fully fitted kitchen with a dining area and 2 double bedrooms with private bathrooms.

If required, breakfast can be provided, at extra charge, and served in the cottage or, the breakfast room of the Manor House.

All guests are welcome to use the garden in the grounds of the Manor House where there is a swimming pool and tennis court.

A walk through the gardens leads you to three, excellent restaurants which surround an old Church.

A short drive brings you to the Atlantic coast and the wonderful beaches of Baleal and Foz de Arelho.

In addition to exploring the old town of Obidos, there are other historic towns and monuments within an easy drive.

Thanks to the new road, the journey to the fascinating city of Lisbon is only an hour away. If you wish to avoid the traffic problems of a capital city, a train from the local station may be a more attractive alternative.

The two local fishing ports of Peniche and Nazare are well worth visiting and the fish restaurants should certainly be tried.
